Moving into the realm of home health, she worked as a field nurse case manager, director of clinical services, and intake supervisor for both proprietary and certified care. Teddie’s entry into rehabilitation began as a Clinical Nurse Liaison, for a renown acute rehab program performing on-site assessments for patients with catastrophic injuries, including brain and spinal cord injuries, multiple trauma, amputation, stroke, and general rehabilitation.
With a focus on providing patients with the best possible outcomes following catastrophic injuries, Teddie’s work for the past 10 years has been on assessment of brain and spinal cord rehab candidates. This role included strong patient advocacy, and education to family members and community stakeholders. Teddie has lectured at the local and national level on various brain injury topics, with a focus on Disorders of Consciousness and Autonomic Dysfunction after brain injury.
